The dignity and empowerment that is instilled in the red serge uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is established as an emblem of authority of the Leader : The Crown : today, Elizabeth II.
And, within this para military cadre is an instilled "old guard" ambivalence that preserves an innate and undignified prejudice to the disadvantage of Original Peoples who choose a career in this RCMP force.
This prejudice is harmful and dangerous to the individual OP officer and their family.
Further, this prejudice has no place in a modern, contemporary intelligence policing force that bears the duty of care to serve as an example of Canadian and Turtle Island integrity and history.
Therefore, today, with the establishment of this Blog, there has been established a permanent registry of Speakers; who will now come forward as current and past officers of Original Peoples heritage to voice constructive concern regarding this prejudiced practice within the force of reaction by non-aboriginal (Original Peoples) heritage which cause grief, harm and endangerment to OP staff.
It is with the grace of the Creator that officers will now voice forward in a strong and convincing declaration for the creation of a recognized negotiation team that will serve to establish fairness and equity without prejudice in this RCMP force.
And, this will be done with urgency in recognition of the presiding preponderance of evident harm that requires healing.
This Red Serge OP Members Group has requested - and, has been accorded - a support phalanx of established human rights advocates and groups; who will act in the capacity of resource scholars and public advocates in conjunction and with the endorsement of this Red Serge OP Members Group - a Common Law Trust.
